Soon it will be 4 years since Michal Maudr left us. The man who in the 90’s had become one of the pillars of  the ten emerging electronic music scene under the stage name of Dj Loutka.

He devoted himself mainly to house music and has been one of the most popular djs in Czech Republic.  Rezident of the Prague Roxy club and Co-founder of Roxydust House Factory  (later called just Roxydust) Roxydust Agency sourced their inspiration in the Dutch Roxy club.

And began serving the Czech people fresh and progressive stuff. Along with Curtis Jones and other bizzare performances at regular parties called Shake. DJ Loutka became the trademark of this club night and he benefited from this position for the rest of his career. Unforgettable are his performances alongside Joost Van Bellen, 100% Isis, Dimitri, Marcello, Hipp-e & Hallo, Matthew “Bushwacka”B. He was also very successful abroad, where he played in many established clubs that dictated the style of the era. He was inspired by famous djs from Berlin, Belgium, Amsterdam and played alongside many musical legends.

Here is a list of the dj icons Loutka stood behind the decks. There producers tracks had been present in his playlists for decades. On the 18th of August 2018 has Dj Loutka tragically deceased. Due to an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of his death the farewell letter has not appeared until two years later. In this letter he expressed his wish to organize an auction of his vinyl collection, that he gathered over the course of his musical career and that he wants the profit to be donated to children’s oncology.

Based on this wish a public auction is being held now – after the covid pause.

The complete collection consists of 1400 vinyl records. Due to the number of records it is impossible to present individual titles, so there has been made and photographed only a selection from this collection. Dj Loutka’s family has also decided to add his Dj case with 43 vinyls he has chosen for his last gig that has not happened and one of Michals headphones (Beats by Dr Dre). These were not supposed to be auctioned as they were part of the inheritance.

In order the maintain the collection intact the records will not be auctioned individually.

Informations and details of the auction will be gradually published from May 8. 2022 (the day of Michal’s Birthday) through a FB event, websited and also in media.

Auction will be closed August 18 2022 ( on the anniversary of Michal’s passing)

In order to fulfill Michal’s last wishes - his family and friends have decided to donate
2/3 of the auctioned amount to Childrens oncology fund Krtek
and 1/3  to Bellis – an organization of young breast cancer patients – in which his sister who is a cancer patient herself has been active for more than a decade.

This way Michal’s good heart and his mindset can help a good cause even after his death.
